Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use OnTheFarm. You agree to provide accurate information, use only an account you are authorized to control, protect your sign-in credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account until you notify us or delete it.

Some features or communities may require a verified school affiliation, event role, group role, age, student ID, valid ID, invitation, or other eligibility set by OnTheFarm or the organizer. You may not misrepresent eligibility or bypass a restriction.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant OnTheFarm a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, and format that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service. This license ends when the content and remaining service copies are deleted, subject to the retention described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content, including event details, images, music references, venue information, and invitations. Do not submit confidential or personal information that you are not permitted to share.

If you select a song for an event, you are linking to a third-party catalog item, not uploading the recording or receiving rights to it. Playback, previews, subscription access, territory availability, and catalog changes are controlled by the music provider.

3. Safety and prohibited conduct

You may not use OnTheFarm to:

• harass, bully, threaten, stalk, intimidate, exploit, or doxx another person;
• promote hatred or violence based on a protected characteristic;
• post sexual exploitation, content that sexualizes minors, graphic violence, or material encouraging self-harm;
• sell illegal drugs or weapons, facilitate unlawful activity, or create a dangerous or fraudulent event;
• impersonate a person, school, group, organizer, seller, or provider;
• share another person's private information or media without permission;
• spam, scam, manipulate engagement, or disguise paid promotion as an independent recommendation;
• infringe intellectual-property or other rights;
• scrape private profiles, messages, groups, directories, guest lists, passes, or credentials;
• probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass security, privacy, moderation, rate-limit, eligibility, payment, or access controls.

4. Moderation, reporting, blocking, and appeals

OnTheFarm provides in-app controls to report supported content and accounts and to block another user. Blocking limits mutual visibility and interaction but cannot remove copies someone already made outside the service.

Automated systems may identify content for review, but an authorized human reviewer controls final content-removal and account-enforcement decisions. Depending on the issue, OnTheFarm may remove content, reduce distribution, restrict a feature, preserve relevant safety records, suspend an account, or terminate access. We aim to review reports of objectionable content promptly and within 24 hours where practicable.

Send a report or appeal through the available in-app control or to [email protected]. Include the case reference if one was provided. OnTheFarm is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services or campus public safety for immediate danger.

5. Events, RSVPs, passes, and external tickets

Organizers are responsible for the events they publish, including accuracy, authority, venue rules, eligibility, accessibility details, capacity, safety, cancellation, prices, seller identity, and refunds. Unless OnTheFarm expressly identifies itself as the organizer or seller, it does not organize the event and is not the merchant of record.

An RSVP or save records your plan; it does not guarantee admission, capacity, safety, accessibility, or a ticket. A free or complimentary OnTheFarm pass is valid only for the event and status shown and may be revoked when an event or entitlement changes.

Paid ticket sales and Apple Pay checkout are disabled in the current release. An event may link to an external provider such as an organizer, university system, or ticket marketplace. That provider is a separate seller and controls its checkout, inventory, fees, delivery, support, privacy, and refund rules. Returning from its website, providing an order number, or uploading a screenshot does not by itself create a verified OnTheFarm ticket or admission credential. Public listings may be gathered from organizer and public sources. Details can be incomplete, stale, canceled, or changed. Verify time-sensitive, price, access, transit, and safety information with the official source before relying on it.

Attending an event can involve travel, crowds, weather, food, alcohol, physical activity, property loss, and interaction with other people. You are responsible for deciding whether an event is appropriate and following applicable law and organizer and venue rules.

6. Groups, invitations, and messages

Group owners and authorized admins can manage membership, roles, settings, and group content. They must use member and attendee information only for the community or event purpose for which it was provided. You may leave a group, decline an invitation, block a user, or delete supported content through the available controls.

Private content is intended for its selected recipients, but recipients can copy or share it. Do not use messages, invitations, nearby discovery, or groups to evade a block or reveal another person's private information.

7. Advertising and sponsored content

The app includes advertising and consent components, but production ads load only when the release has valid production configuration and required consent choices have been resolved. Ads and sponsored placements are labeled so their commercial nature is clear. An advertiser or event organizer is responsible for its claims and destination. Displaying an ad or sponsored event does not mean OnTheFarm endorses or guarantees it.

8. Third-party services

OnTheFarm may connect to Apple, Google, Cloudflare, transit agencies, public event sources, maps, music, email delivery, advertisers, and external event or ticket providers. Their availability, data, terms, and conduct are outside OnTheFarm's control. You must comply with their applicable terms when using their service.

Sprout and other automated information can be inaccurate or stale. Do not rely on OnTheFarm, AI output, maps, transit estimates, location data, or third-party content as emergency, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.

9. Suspension, termination, and account deletion

OnTheFarm may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when you violate these Terms, create risk or harm, misuse a provider, or when action is reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect users and the service. Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an appeal path.

You may stop using OnTheFarm and delete your account from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. The Account Deletion page and Privacy Policy explain the deletion workflow and records that may remain anonymized or retained.

10. Service availability and changes

OnTheFarm may add, change, pause, or discontinue features and may be unavailable because of maintenance, failures, provider changes, legal requirements, or events outside our control. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Where practical, we will provide notice before a material discontinuation.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OnTheFarm is provided "as is" and "as available," without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OnTheFarm is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from an event, organizer, attendee, user, advertisement, external seller, provider, transit or location result, public listing, or other third-party service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OnTheFarm's aggregate liability for claims arising from the service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid directly to OnTheFarm during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These exclusions and limits do not apply where applicable law does not allow them. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility for fraud, willful injury, violation of law, or other conduct to the extent a waiver would be invalid.

12. iOS license and Apple

Your installation and use of the iOS app are also governed by the OnTheFarm End User License Agreement. If the EULA and these Terms conflict about the license to the iOS app, the EULA controls for that issue.

These Terms are between you and OnTheFarm, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for OnTheFarm or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the EULA and the Apple-related provisions of these Terms and may enforce those provisions.

13. Changes to these Terms

We will update the Last updated date and version when these Terms change. For material changes, OnTheFarm may provide an in-app notice and require signed-in users to review and accept the current version before continuing. Acceptance records include the policy version, time, locale, and client platform.
